At ACS Doha, every student works towards the US High School Diploma in Qatar, providing a strong academic foundation that prepares them for university and beyond. Recognized by colleges and universities across the United States and internationally, this qualification offers flexibility, choice, and the opportunity for students to shape their own learning pathway. 

Flexible Learning Pathways 

Students pursuing the American Curriculum Diploma can select from a wide range of traditional and modern subjects, building a programme that aligns with their strengths and aspirations. 

All students graduate with the ACS Doha High School Diploma upon successful completion of the prescribed course of study. 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 24 credits required for graduation. 
  • Students may enroll in American High School, or IB Diploma classes at standard (SL) or higher (HL) levels, with HL considered as Honours classes. 
About ACS’s US High School Diploma
  • Programme overlaps with Years 4 and 5 of the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). 
  • Accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). 
  • All courses are aligned with American or IB DP standards, ensuring rigorous academic expectations and international recognition. The flexibility of assessments allows ACS Doha to support diverse learning needs while maintaining high academic standards. 

Beyond Academics 

At ACS Doha High School, graduation requirements extend beyond coursework. Students participate in: 

  • Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS): Building personal and interpersonal skills through hands-on learning, service, and experiences that balance academic challenges. 
  • Extended Essay: A 4,000-word independent research project on a topic of choice, developed under faculty supervision, encouraging critical thinking, academic writing, and intellectual independence. 

Together, these elements ensure ACS graduates are not only academically accomplished but also globally minded, resilient, and well-prepared for the demands of higher education.
