At ACS Doha, the safety and wellbeing of every child is at the heart of what we do. We believe that all children have the right to feel safe, valued, and respected—free from any form of harm or neglect. Creating and sustaining a culture of safeguarding is a shared responsibility that extends to every adult in our community.

Our Commitment
Safeguarding is not just a policy; it is a daily practice and a mindset.
Every teacher, staff member, volunteer, and service provider on our campus plays a role in protecting children. We foster a community where students know they can speak up, and where adults listen carefully and act promptly on concerns.

How We Keep Students Safe

Our approach includes:

Clear Policies and Procedures — guided by international best practice and Qatar’s legal framework.
Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) — trained staff responsible for receiving and managing concerns.
Mandatory Training — all employees receive regular child protection and code-of-conduct training.
Safer Recruitment — every applicant undergoes identity verification, reference checks (including blind reference checks), and police clearance before employment.
Student Education — age-appropriate lessons and assemblies teach students about personal safety, boundaries, and responsible online behavior.
Partnership with Parents — open communication and joint responsibility between school and home.
Speaking Up – Any concern about the welfare of a child—no matter how small—should be reported immediately to a member of the Safeguarding Team.
Reports are treated seriously, confidentially, and in accordance with established procedures. Our goal is always to ensure that children receive the right help at the right time.

Continuous Improvement

We review our safeguarding practices regularly and work closely with the wider Artemis Education group and external experts to ensure our policies remain robust, current, and effective.
